Why Use Mikey Bowler Realty?

Choosing a Home

There are not many purchases you and your family will make in life that are larger and more important than your home purchase. Simply choosing a home you like may not be as simple as you might expect.

  • What do you qualify for? What type of loan are you using?
  • Why does that matter?
  • Does your selected home match your loan requirements? What is the flood zone and how much will flood insurance cost us? How does flood insurance affect home values?

There are so many questions and we have seen the question before.

  • You will be provided full access to ALL Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, and St. Tammany Parish homes for sale; even listings not yet on the MLS, through our professional real estate affiliations.
  • Our expert local knowledge of New Orleans real estate and neighborhoods should be invaluable to you, not just in terms of real estate, but also, the local economy, the local atmosphere, social life, property related hazards, insurance concerns, and more. Our Neighborhood Guide provides insight into the neighborhoods that are designed to help you decide if it is a place you might want to live.
  • Local real estate markets have trends unique to themselves. These trends can vary greatly. For example, the trends in the Lower Garden District probably will not match the trends in Gentilly, Harahan, Arabi, or even the Warehouse District. Distance from one area to another may or may not impact the trends we are seeing in another area.  It’s our job to guide you into great situations and watch out that you stay away from pitfalls.

  • What is the actual market value of the home you have your eye on? Is it priced correctly? Is it a steal that you should jump on right away or is it priced too high? We assist home buyers just like you every day and it is our fiduciary responsibility to make certain you get the best value for your money.
  • The home buying process along with negotiating with sellers can be daunting. We will help you negotiate so that the final contract includes the best terms and conditions possible as well as have a process for explaining the contract that should make this as low stress as possible. When you finally get ready to write your first (and hopefully only) offer, we will spend about 45 minutes to an hour reviewing all of the contract terms, making sure that you know all of what is going on, and not just the parts we have already had a chance to chat about.
  • Information is power, and we want you to know as much about the property as possible. Mikey Bowler makes it his mission to be at every inspection our team encounters whether it is representing the seller or the buyer, his client or that of a team member. His background in the construction industry as well as being mold remediation certified AND a REALTOR® is one strength you should not go thorough this process without… he is uniquely suited to break down inspectors evaluations and answer questions for you.
  • There may not be much closer to the practice of law than practicing real estate… maybe except that of a practicing CPA. You should have confidence that those with Mikey Bowler Homes take the written word seriously as contracts have meanings that must be adhered to. Frequently these contracts have phrases and terms that many are not familiar with.
